I decided to write a continuing (If you'd like to call it that) to the original Cigarettes and Barbie Dolls...
I dunno why, but I was eager to try this for the last couple of days, and tonight it just came out.. so.. here it is...
Cigarettes and Barbie Dolls II
(Hartman)
What a pointless sensation…
As they take in the heroin
They breathe a sudden sigh of relief
That causes their end
As the boys dance all night
High on “E”
They gather their sweat marks
And take them to the streets
They sell themselves to HIV’s
Ending up in a furious sleep
Waiting on their last breath
The girl’s curls begin to fade
Once was blond
Now gray
They only have their scars
To remind them of their golden days
The boys dance all night
Stuck in a revolution
Of an endless goodbye
As they wait for their last breath
The girls dig deeper
In obsolete wounds
The Cigarettes eradicated life
The Barbie Dolls become the obsession
And now, there is nothing left
But the cheap wine
Until Next Time Kiddies, (I haven't said that in awhile)
